Webkinz Gems Tips

There are TWO MAIN things you can do at the Curio Shop, "Go Shopping" and "Gem Hunt". When you go shopping there are 12 Items for sale. Those 12 items will ONLY be for sale 1 hour. (EX: 4pm to 5pm) after that they will no longer be for sale. Most of the Items for sale can also be bought at the Wshop but there are those so called RARE items which can ONLY be bought at the Curio Shop.  Be Careful some time Arte can rip you off and some times he making you a good deal. Always make sure the Curio Price is the same or less than the Wshop.

Gem Hunt is where you can go in to a cave and search for gems by clicking on the rocks with your pick axe. If you get a gem you can either sell it or keep it in your collection to win THE WEBKINZ CROWN OF WONDER!!! But that’s only if you collect all 30 gems!!!

There are 7 levels that I know of on what Arte will say when you ask him about rare items.

Here are the levels:

For the first time shopper, Arte goes tells you about the Curio Shop and goes over the rules.

"Welcome to the Curio Shop. Hope you find what you’re looking for."

"Welcome back. See if you can find a bargain today"

"Hey, welcome back, if you see something you like, let me know."

"Good to see you again. Have fun shopping."

"Ahh, one of my favorite customers. Let's see what I can do for you."

"There you are! Always great to see you, my shop is your shop." (Then he holds up sign that tells what time of day the next rare item will be.)

Level 7 is the last one. On level seven, Arte picks up a sign and shows it to you, on the sign it says the time when next rare item will be.

For you to pass these levels until you get to 7, you must tip Arte and buy some things from the store that will make him more "open" and friendly to you! This way, he'll tell you the more and more clues about when the rare item appears till you're on level 7, and then you'll have all the information you'll need!

Everything starts to get a whole lot easier at level 4. When you click on the rare button to ask him, he'll say either "There should be something later today" or "If you don't see anything, then I guess I'm plumb out." That's a good clue isn't it? The higher levels are obviously better though! But it all really starts at level 4!

When you are his best friend, and you click on the 'Ask about Rare Items' button, then he will hold up a sign for you.

Buried Bones Mine - Home of all the White Gems

Flea Floater Mine - Home of all the Green Gems

• only place to find the Earth Emerald
• also home to level 2 Red Gems (Ember Amber and Volcano Viscose)
• also home to level 3 Yellow and White Gems

Muzzle Mouth Mine - Home of all the Red Gems

• only place to find the Red Ruby Heart
• also home to level 2 White Gems (Unicorn Horn and Yum Zum Sparkle)
• also home to level 3 Yellow and Blue Gems

Barking Mad Mine - Home of all the Yellow Gems

• only place to find the Corona Topaz
• also home to level 2 Blue Gems (Teardrop Tower and Sea Stone)
• also home to level 3 Red and Green Gems

Howling Horse Mine - Home of all the Blue Gems

• only place to find Ocean Sapphire
• also home to level 2 Green Gems (Moss Marble and Cat's Eye Glint)
• also home to level 3 Red and White Gems

• the crown is worth 2250 to sell it back to the W Shop
• You do get to keep any extra gems when you trade in the 30 for the crown
• You can get as many crowns as you can earn
